What it means to me

There isn't a day that goes by when I don't create art. Painting and creating images is my lifeblood and a way to show reality through my eyes.

I want to invite the viewer to enjoy the paintings. On closer inspection, the paintings offer the opportunity to engage with social issues, culture, portraits of women, and the self within the universe.

The way we look at images and what we see in them says a lot about ourselves. Thus, engaging with my art leads to self-knowledge.

Over the years as an artist, I've realized that greatness can be found in simplicity. I'm drawn to minimalism and clarity. That's why my paintings look the way they do.

And in the early years I have thought that art has to look strange, curious and wild. Now, I allow myself that art can be beautiful and softly.

Art is a way to leave a lot of empty space and unspoken truth. And I want you to find your truth in my pictures.
